What beans? Filter

What grind? Medium-fine grind

Brewing Tips

  • 250mls Water (pre-heated)
  • 16 grams coffee ground medium fine, about the same as for v60 
  • Rinse filter
  • Heat the bottom chamber. When the top chamber is full, turn down the heat until the water is a stable simmer. 
  • Stir the top chamber to cool (target 94C)
  • Start timer and tip ground coffee into top chamber
  • Mix for the next 45 seconds making sure no more floating dry coffee or lumps
  • At 45 seconds, remove flame and immediately (and gently) stir the Syphon 3 — 5 times
  • Total brewing time should be 90 seconds
